Week #1

"I started this week making a commitment to myself. About 4 years ago I
decided to lose weight, I dropped 65 lbs. Sadly in the last year with
trying to balance a new job I have gained 35 lbs back. I turn 30 in 6
months and my goal is to feel good about myself, get back to being toned
and in shape and have more energy. I don't care exactly what I end up
weighing, but I do care about feeling good about my health and how I
look.

My first training session with UNICUS Fitness was on Monday. It was only 16
minutes of total working out (4 rounds of 4 - 1 minute drills). My
trainer Michael pushed me hard - I know I got a better workout in that
16 minutes than I ever have on my own
. The next day I was definitely
sore, but in the good way that I knew I had a good workout. I came back
again on Wednesday and we went through a totally new set of drills. I am
challenged in every workout to push myself further and work harder.

I've got a lot I want to accomplish and I know it's going to take time.
I am really excited about the UNICUS Fitness philosophy of Time Under Tension exercise. I
can really feel the difference in this workout. I know I'm getting so
much more out of my workouts and am excited to see the progress." 


Week #2

"This week I came in on Monday and was feeling good, finally over being sore from the previous week and ready to go. I was so excited that I upgraded to doing 5 minute rounds instead of the 4 that I was doing last week. I was feeling a lot better each day and my form was improving as well. I notice the differences when I walk upstairs that I'm not tired and I have a lot more energy. It has been great because I'm so tired after the sessions with Michael my personal trainer, that I am sleeping so much better at night.

I'm really excited about the (early) results I've been seeing and am looking forward to pushing myself further in the coming months. I can already see and feel the muscles in my sides and abs firming up. I have a long way to go, but am excited about how much progress I've made with the UNICUS Fitness method so far. I have never seen results this fast from working out on my own."

Week #3

"This week was a tough week because I switched up my nights that I work out. Normally I go Monday, Wednesday and Friday, but this week I went back to back on Monday and Tuesday. I was so fatigued from Monday that my workout on Tuesday was really tough (added with the fact my personal trainer, Mike,  pushed me really hard on Monday night). Even though the workouts were really tough I am feeling great. My energy levels are way up all and I'm sleeping so great at night. Although I love my job, I've noticed recently my increased energy and better sleep has led to a much better attitude and ability to focus at work. I'm not tired, maybe a little stiff, but in a good way.

My arm muscles are getting much stronger, my abs are much more firm, my clothes look and fit better. I have spent years working out on my own (even though I slowed down before I started with UNICUS Fitness personal training) but I never have seen these results and definitely not this quickly. I am excited to progress further and improve my strength and overall health. "

Week #7

"I don't think I've ever sweat so hard in my life as my UNICUS Fitness personal trainer continues to push and challenge me with every workout. The past 2 nights we worked hard on arms, legs, and butt - pretty much everything. I think the total workout time was 28 minutes last night, which is unbelievable considering we started at 14 minutes.

I've noticed and others in my office have noticed that I now have muscle definition in my arms. With 4 weeks until a bikini vacation, I can't wait to see more results."

 Week #8

"We've been working on arms and shoulders so at some point I should be able to do pull ups....no easy task. All of my sweating and hard work this week is not in vain as my clothes are definitely fitting better with much more room in the waist. I've found that things that I could hardly do the first week - push-ups - are much easier. I'm still amazed that I leave The Fitness Lair so sweaty, tired and sore but don't feel bad in the morning. Kudos to my UNICUS Fitness personal trainer, Will."

Week #9

"We are now in month 3 of the UNICUS Fitness personal training program and I did 48 pushes on Tuesday. That is amazing considering I could barely do 5 when I started and wasn’t even doing them correctly. Plus, I worked out for a total of 30 minutes….crazy! My UNICUS Fitness personal trainer is great at pushing me as hard as I can go but not over doing it as I still feel good the next day – unlike experiences with other personal trainers where I could barely walk for days after a workout. Every workout we do new things so it is always a challenge. 1.5 weeks until looking fabulous in a bikini on vacation – thank you UNICUS Fitness!"

Week #7

"In the past ten years I have had four children, three c-sections and watched my body weight yo-yo up and down through the pregnancies.  I have been focused on taking care of the kids and not taking very good care of me.  Now it is time to get my body back.  I have tried to get excited about exercising for many years, but kept finding myself bored, unmotivated and ineffective.  The improvement in strength and tone in my body over the past six weeks has been amazing.  My clothes fit better.  I am starting to see some definition in my arms and legs and I am beginning to have some strength in my core again.  My abs had been through a lot and I was starting from zero.  The best part is that I actually enjoy coming to The Fitness Lair for workouts.  UNICUS Fitness Personal Training is fun and challenging and never the same twice.  Suzanne, my UNICUS Fitness Personal Trainer, is as excited for me about my progress as I am and I find it very motivating to have her interested in my success."


Week #8

"In the first couple of weeks that I was training at UNICUS Fitness, Suzanne had me try to do supine pull-ups.  They were next to impossible for me.  I struggled for a minute to do one or two.  Today, my eighth week of training, I was able to do them strong for almost a minute.  I was amazed at my progress and how strong I felt.  We also did the month 2 weigh-in, and since I began I have lost 4% body fat and put on muscle.  I feel great and my clothes are fitting better.  The progress I have made with UNICUS Fitness has been so quick compared to the results I had from running and traditional weight lifting.  Thank you!"

Week #9

"I continue to be amazed at how quickly my body responds to the work we ask it to do.  Exercises that seemed humanly impossible a few short weeks ago, I can now complete.  The increase in strength in my core has been fantastic.  After four kids, I didn't know if I would ever have that strength back.  Sit-ups were boring and not doing the trick.  The comprehensive core workout throughout the UNICUS Fitness Personal Training program has had amazing results.  Suzanne is continually changing things up and finding different ways to work all of my core.  Challenging - yes, boring - never.

"I began my personal training with UNICUS Fitness and Luz the week of Sept 7th. The support and encouragement from my UNICUS Fitness Personal Trainer has allowed me to push myself to workout harder than I normally would. Week #8

"I have been part of the UNICUS Fitness Personal Training program for 7 weeks now and
previously I completed one month of the Beach Body Emergency Boot Camp and one month of the Wedding Boot Camp.  As much as I enjoyed both of those programs and
think they are great, the UNICUS Fitness Personal Training takes it to a whole new level!
I have seen results quicker than I have ever seen in my life (and I'm over

Week #9

"Into the second month of Personal Training and so far, so good.  The
challenge given to my UNICUS Fitness personal trainer Will, who is fab, was to be bikini-worthy in 2 1/2 months and so far still on track.  Look out Vegas!  I am up to 29
minutes of actual working out and it's unbelievable the difference it's
made.
  I still have a hard time believing that 29 minutes can be such a
great workout as prior to UNICUS Fitness Personal Training, I was doing the normal cardio and weights at the gym and spending significantly more time working out with less
results.  I'm a believer!"

Week #10

"Third month in the UNICUS Fitness personal training program and not only have I lost weight, but more importantly I’m losing body fat and gaining body muscle!  My clothes are fitting better and even though I am working hard and feel my muscles the next day, I am not in pain.  Overall, it’s a great program, I am on my way to Vegas and I feel better about wearing my bikini than I have in years!"

Week #1

After the 18 week training for the 2008 Chicago Marathon I considered
myself to be in good shape. I figured that if I would commit to
workout 3 times a week at the health club, I could continue to stay in
shape. I am sad to report that I did not keep that commitment.
Unemployment, winter and exam stress added 10 pounds to the scale.
Week 1 I have to say has been the hardest. When I attended Beach Body Emergency,
I was one of several attendees and it was only twice a week. With UNICUS Fitness personal training and Andrea, everything is one-on-one. This is good because she corrects and
makes sure that I am giving 100%+ to each and every session. I have to
say that I will be getting more out of each and every UNICUS Fitness personal training session than my 23 minute DVD workout video!

Week #2

This is just the second of many more weeks to come. Each personal training session is
short but intense
, I just make sure I plan ahead by getting enough
rest the night before and leave my worries in the elevator. I can get
back to worrying after each session. Friday’s session was a bit
different, I enjoy the challenges! Dragging the metal plate across the
floor definitely made it seem like I got to use a lot of
abdominal
muscles
that I did not know I had!

Week #4

Monday’s session was a challenge since I did not get a workout in this
weekend. When I began Friday’s session I noticed that Andrea set up 10
different stations in which I needed to do each for a minute at a
time. Wow even though they were a minute long I was exhausted by the
end of the first round! By the time I did the second round I was
actually looking forward to spending that last minute on the easiest
and last station: the treadmill! The UNICUS Fitness Personal Training System is not an easy mission but I am committed to coming back each week for more!
