YOGA:UNICUS offers two weekly Hatha Yoga classes at the FAA Wellness Center.Hatha Yoga is a very classical and traditional style of Yoga that uses Asanas (poses), as well as breathing and relaxation to allow the body and mind to stretch, strengthen and heal. The classes are appropriate for all levels of students, even complete beginners. If you have never tried Yoga, this is the time to start! Scientific studies are starting to prove what the ancient Yogis have known for thousands of years that Yoga not only helps stretch muscles, but also improves overall health in the body, supports and strengthens nearly all the major organ systems, prevents disease and injury, and most of all brings calmness, focus, and peace to the mind… something we could all use on our lunch break!
Yoga for Beginnings: This low stress class will focus on the basic yoga poses (asanas) and breathing techniques in a gentle introductory style with no pretzel poses. This class will help get you acquainted with the many benefits of this ancient art with an emphasis on creating balance in the body through developing both strength and flexibility.
Every Tuesday & Thursday from 10am-2pm a massage therapist will come in and offer 15 and 30 minute chair massages. Payments can be made by cash, checks or money order (made payable to UNICUS Fitness) or online.
